CCI AGM today

The Chamber of Construction Industry of Sri Lanka (CCI) will hold its 18 th Annual General Meeting today (2) at the Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo at 6 p.m.

At this AGM, Eng. (Rtd) Ranjith Gunatilleke who was the President from 2017 will formally hand over the Presidency to Ar. Jayantha Perera. During the tenure of the past President, the Chamber achieved some significant milestones including the formal recognition by an Act of Parliament.

The outgoing President and the Board of Management with guidance from the Council has done much to mitigate the situation in these turbulent times of COVID 19 followed by an economic meltdown.

The new President and Board of Management hopes that they will be able to steer the Chamber through the present turbulent period for brighter prospects ahead.

The Chamber was first established in 2001 as a company by guarantee and in 2019 was incorporated.

Now this Chamber has positioned itself as the main voice on issues affecting the construction industry and is committed to protecting and promoting the construction industry.
