Man burnt to death over land dispute; four arrested

A shop owner and three others were arrested by the Bibile Police for the killing of a person by burning the body inside their own shop in Nagala, Bibile on Thursday.

“The victim is a 62-year-old father of three who lived in Sikuralanda Village in Bibile,” Police said. It has been revealed that the deceased had a dispute over a land with the shop owner and the suspects had committed the alleged crime over this issue.

“The suspects had attacked the victim with sharp weapons,” Police said. Police arrested the shop owner, his spouse and two others in connection with the murder. The suspects were to be produced before the Courts. Bibile Police are investigating.
