Protester Guruge released on bail

A leading activist of the ‘Aragalaya’ protest movement, Senadhi Guruge, who was arrested and remanded in connection with an assault on two intelligence officers has been enlarged on bail. The order was issued by Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday.

The suspect was released on two sureties of Rs.500,000 each.

The suspect was produced before an identification parade yesterday and the suspect was identified by the witnesses.
