Three arrested for attacking ambulance in Point Pedro

The Point Pedro Police are conducting investigations to arrest three suspects who had attacked a 1990 ambulance at Alvai North area on Wednesday night.

As reported, the ambulance had arrived at the area to hospitalise four persons who had been sustaining cut injuries following a clash between two groups. The clash had occurred in the midnight in Mahatma Street, Alvai North area during a liquor party.

It was the ambulance of the Nelliady Police station, police said. Those injured in the clash are currently receiving treatment at the Jaffna and Point Pedro hospitals. Police are investigating.
