Four suspects arrested for assaulting social media activist

The Colombo Crime Division said that four suspects were arrested for assaulting and injuring social media activist Dilan Senanayake.

Several people had assaulted Dilan on December 14 when he was inside his photography studio in Pagoda Road, Nugegoda.

The police investigations into the incident revealed that the attackers came in a three-wheeler and left in the same. Police said that the persons involved in the attack were arrested while they were hiding in Dematagoda and Maligawatta.

A police officer said that the investigation revealed that an incident regarding a young woman had led to the attack.

The suspects are to be produced in Court.
