Conductor succumbs in brawl with driver

A bus conductor, who was attacked by the driver of the same bus, succumbed to his injuries today morning, Katunayake Police said.

Following a verbal dispute between them on politics, the bus driver had attacked the bus conductor with a glass bottle. The incident happened around 7.30 pm on Monday. They had been under the influence of liquor at the time of the incident. They were working for a long distance SLTB  bus plying from Monaragala to Katunayake.
