Sala Enterprises honoured for outstanding contribution to ICT industry
Sala Enterprises was honored by FITIS for its thirty years of contribution to the overall development of the Information and Communication Technology industry in Sri Lanka.
The first ever technology channel conference organized by the Federation of Information Technology (FITIS) was conducted at Shangri La Hotel Colombo, where Sala Enterprises were presented with the award.
The objective of the event was to recognize the significant contribution to the ICT industry by ICT companies and to felicitate the companies who contributed significantly to the industry for over 25 years. Another intention was to prepare the ICT infrastructure members and industry for the current economic conditions and to see how further the industry could be developed.
Sala Enterprises Managing Director Chinthaka Wijewickrama, said, “It is a pleasure to be appreciated by the industry for our company’s contribution to the development of the information and communication technology industry for about three decades.” He also said that this award is a great encouragement for our future journey of the company.
The Company offers its services to large scale government and private sector institutions as well as retail customers. Sala Enterprises pioneered the introduction of the GPS Navigation, Tri Lingual key board, Pen Drive, Electronic Dictionary in Sinhala/Tamil/English, ADSL Modems and Routers, IOT and AI products.
Sala aims to provide excellent customer service and technical expertise in project consultancy and implementation of internet communication solutions. Hence, every member of the organization is inspired to carry an unbridled desire to perform quality work beyond the call of duty.
Sala have also partnered with Sri Lanka Handicraft Board, popularly known as ‘Laksala. The main aims is to reduce poverty levels and enhance the economic sustenance of rural artisans by bringing public, private and civil actors together through a co-ordinated multi-stakeholder approach to link up rural artisans and their craft products directly with the global market place and overseas customers.
