Three women who took ‘Ice’ inside Kandy hotel room remanded

A group of officers from the anti-corruption division of the Kandy Police have arrested three women who had rented a hotel room in Bahiravakanda  Kandy and were taking the illegal drug ‘Ice’. It was revealed through police investigations that these women residing in Watapuluwa, Ampitiya and Hatton areas had paid Rs.3,000 and rented this room.

Police had raided the location based on the information that the three young women frequently come to this place to take drugs.

Police say that the three women who were arrested on suspicion are between 25 to 30 years and they were working in a massage parlour.

The three have been remanded until March 10 after being produced in court.
