A junior rugby carnival at Pallekele

A junior rugby carnival organized by Trinity College for the age groups of under12 and 14 will be played today at the 5th Saturday at their rugby grounds at Pallekelle, starting from7.30.

According to news many schools not only from Kandy but also from other towns will be participating in this event.

The purpose of this junior rugby tournament may be to give the junior rugby players the opportunity to participate against schools from around the country, on a foundation of sportsmanship, enjoyment and friendship; all the while creating lifelong memories with mates on play.

Kandy YMMA cricket sixes

Kandy YMMA will hold a six a side tennis ball cricket tournament, for which the presidentA.S.M. Gazzaly, Secretary Gazally Saheed, sports Secretary Faise Samad and rest of the members are going all out to make it an interesting tournament.

The winners and the runner-up teams will be presented the Kandy YMMA trophy and there will be awards for the best batsmen, bowler, and fielder of the tournament.
