Air India first to introduce Boeing 787 Dreamliner from India to Colombo

Air India, the national carrier of India, operated its 787 Boeing Dreamliner to Sri Lanka on Monday and became the first airline to operate the 787 Boeing Dreamliner to India from Sri Lanka.

Air India currently operates 10 flights per week on the Colombo-Chennai route and 7 flights per week on the Colombo-Delhi route and the inaugural 787 Dreamliner flight was welcomed with a ceremonial water salute. Hayleys PLC is the appointed General Sales Agent (GSA) for Air India in Sri Lanka. Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited congratulates Air India for the new value addition at BIA and is happy to facilitate the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner at BIA.
