Almsgiving at Sanchi

A special almsgiving ceremony (Dansala) was held at the Maha Bodhi Vandana Niketan premises for the Indian Buddhist monks and other religious leaders, who participated in the annual Sanchi Mahabodhi Mahotsava this year.

Besides, several other Dansalas were conducted by Ambikar Buddhists’ Society for the people visiting the Sanchi Mahabodhi Mahotsava.

Accordingly, about a thousand monks were served lunch for two days. The Madhya Pradesh government had also provided the necessary sanitary and medical facilities for the people visiting the Maha Bodhi Mahotsava.
