The Transport week, an annual industry event, was held in Gostiny Dvor, Moscow last week (14). The Forum included conferences devoted to the development and functioning of automobile, aviation, railway, sea and river transport. The exhibition, in its turn, demonstrated novelties and achievements of the industry enterprises.
Ambassador Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage attended the XVII International Forum and Exhibition ‘Transport of Russia’ and took part in the International Plenary Session on Improving resilience and security of Global Transport Relations.
Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardhana graced the main transport industry event and spoke about the pressing issues common for all countries globally on the increasing need for sustainable transportation solutions and advancement of technologies in the face of growing urbanization and environmental concerns.
The discussion was attended by the State Secretary of the Transport Ministry and officials from Russia’s Economic Development and Agriculture Ministries, Mali’s Transport and Infrastructure Minister and Cuba’s Transport Minister.
