Ampara and Jaffna win U-25 Kabaddi Titles

Ampara District and Jaffna District Teams won the Men’s and Women’s title respectively at the inaugural National Youth Under-25 Kabaddi Championships, held at the Torrington Indoor Stadium in Colombo.

A total of 21 Men’s teams and 18 Women’s teams participated in this tournament, which was conducted by the Sri Lanka Kabaddi Federation for the first time.

Meanwhile, Jaffna District emerged runners-up in the Men’s Championship while Anuradhapura District secured third place.

Batticaloa District emerged runners-up in the Women’s Championship while Kegalle District secured third place.

In addition, S. M. Sabihan of Ampara District and V. Dilaxshana of Jaffna District won the Men’s and Women’s Best Player Award respectively.
