Freedom People’s Assembly Leader MP Dullas Alahapperuma said that the Party’s attempt to unite the opposition through negotiations with all Opposition forces, had failed. The MP mentioned this at a press conference held at the party head office in Nawala yesterday (9).
He said that although the attempt was unsuccessful compared to the expectations, he would continue the attempt. Alahapperuma said that it was normal the jumpers appear when an election is pending.
He said that the purpose of the Freedom People’s Assembly is not to build a person’s image but to make an economic and political program a victory.
Commenting on the statement made by MP Dilan Perera, member of the executive committee of the Freedom People’s Assembly, that Sajith Premadasa is the Presidential candidate of the party, MP Dullas Alahapperuma said that it was a personal opinion and it is anti-democratic to express such opinions.
