BIMSTEC SG here to enhance regional cooperation

BIMSTEC SG Ambassador Indra Mani Pandey visited Sri Lanka last week, following his assumption of office as Secretary General of BIMSTEC in January this year.

During the visit, SG Pandey held discussions with Foreign Affairs Secretary Aruni Wijewardane and paid courtesy calls on the President and the Foreign Affairs Minister. The Secretary General also met with senior officials of relevant Ministries/Agencies to discuss measures to enhance regional cooperation under various BIMSTEC initiatives.

The Secretary General participated at an interactive event on ‘Regional Cooperation through BIMSTEC’ organised by the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute (LKI) on April 9.
