Body of newborn found floating in river

 

A body of newborn found floating in a river near the Maduwa Village in Katunayake last evening.

 

Katunayake Police say that, the body of a baby boy has been thrown into the river in a small polythene bag.

 

The body of the baby was found floating in the river at around 5.30 pm yesterday.

 

The residents of the area who saw this had informed the Katunayake Police.

 

Further investigations are being conducted.
