A suspect detained at Boossa high security prison has damaged many devices including eight CCTV cameras. Prison headquarters said authorities are planning to take disciplinary action against officers who were on duty at the relevant section when the incident happened.
The suspect had damaged several CCTV cameras when he was taken out for morning exercises on Saturday, Prison sources said. An investigation has been initiated under an Assistant Prison Superintendent regarding the incident and Rathgama Police Station has been informed to take legal action against the inmate for damaging public property.
Earlier also this inmate has been nabbed for riotous behaviour and there is also a court case against the inmate for causing damage to public property. Disciplinary actions are also to be taken against the officers who were on duty in that section on that day due to the inability to control the incident after the relevant investigation.
