Breaking: BASL to withdraw from court proceedings tomorrow

The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) today (15) announced that all court activities across the island will be suspended tomorrow as a protest and show of solidarity following the fatal shooting of a lawyer and his wife in Akuregoda.

BASL President Rajeev Amarasuriya made the announcement talking to reporters after an emergency meeting to address concerns over the safety of legal professionals. (NewsWire)
