Business leaders to unite for unlocking Sri Lanka’s potential
In continuing to unlock Sri Lanka’s potential, the CA Sri Lanka Australia Chapter, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Australia Chamber of Commerce and the Sri Lankan High Commission in Australia, will host the ‘Resilient & Rising: Leveraging Sri Lanka’s Potential’ Business Forum on 6June, at the Brisbane Club, Brisbane, Australia.
The forum aims to bring together prominent Australian business leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors to explore and capitalise on the growing opportunities within Sri Lanka.
The business forum will explore Sri Lanka’s sustainable manufacturing capabilities, provide insights into Sri Lanka as a preferred BPO hub, apart from helping enhance travel and investment opportunities between Sri Lanka and Australia.
The forum will feature distinguished speakers, including Chitranganee Wagiswara, (Pictured) High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Australia; Heshana Kuruppu, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka; Duminda Hulangamuwa, Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce; Kalum De Silva, President of the Sri Lanka Australia Chamber of Commerce; and Paul Cooper, Chairman of Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre and Manufacturing Queensland. Lalanka Amarasiri, Chair of the Investor and Business Relations Committee of the CA Sri Lanka Australia Chapter, will deliver a detailed presentation.
Heshana Kuruppu (Pictured) said, “The country’s burgeoning BPO sector further underscores its capabilities, providing a competitive edge in global outsourcing. We look forward to showcasing these opportunities at the upcoming forum organised by the CA Sri Lanka Australia Chapter, in partnership with the Sri Lanka Australia Chamber of Commerce and the Sri Lankan High Commission in Australia.”
This business forum marks the second such event organised by the CA Sri Lanka Australia Chapter, following last year’s successful inaugural business forum, which also aimed to collaborate and enhance trade and investment between Australia and Sri Lanka, and promote Sri Lanka as a premier tourist destination.
Meanwhile, the CA Sri Lanka Australia Chapter will also host the highly anticipated ‘Chartered Ball 2024’ on 8June, at Springvale City Hall, Victoria, Australia. Over 350 guests are expected at the event, which will also serve as a fundraising initiative for the benefit of aspiring CA students in Sri Lanka.
