Businessman’s house robbed while attending Midnight Mass

Thieves have reportedly stolen Rs.6.8 million worth cash and other valuables from the residence of a prominent businessman Udappuwa, in the early hours of Monday (25), Police said.

The break-in had taken place while the businessman was attending Christmas Midnight Mass with his family. The intruders are believed to have gained access to the house by breaking a window, Police said.

Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by the Udappuwa Police.
