CaFFE deploys 26 District Coordinators, 160 Observers for Presidential Poll

Executive Director of the Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE) Manas Makeem said that his organisation has deployed 26 District Coordinators (one each for each district and two for Ampara district) and 160 Long Term Observers and added that the organisation hopes to deploy 3,500 observers on election day.

The CaFFE Chief said that up to midnight of August 29 he had received 393 election related complaints and added that CaFFE was expecting the September 21 poll would be peaceful as well as free and fair. He also said the CaFFE is paying more attention to areas which have been previously identified by District Coordinators as locations where election related violence may occur.
