CaFFE to educate first-time-voters in six districts
With the 2024 Presidential Poll less than three weeks away the Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE) is conducting a series of voter education programmes to enlighten 18+ voters (first time voters) of the importance of exercising their franchise.
Commencing on September 05, CaFFE will conduct 10 voter education programmes each in the districts of Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mannar, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Trincomalee.
Launching the 18+ voter education programme CaFFE conducted training for 12 Trainers, two each selected from the districts of Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mannar, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Trincomalee commenced at Nelli Star Hotel in Vavuniya today (02).
Attorney-at-Law Jagath Lyanarachchi, an authority on election monitoring, electoral systems and electoral reforms was entrusted with training the Trainers.
Executive Director of CaFFE Manas Makeen and Programme Coordinator Premabandu Jayathilake attended the initial training sessions.
