Cannabis racket targeting Pera students busted

A person said to be a driver of Peradeniya University and another person were arrested with 2 kg of Kerala cannabis in front of the Engineering Faculty. The Police investigation has revealed that the other arrested person had brought the relevant cannabis stock from Colombo to Kandy.

After a lengthy investigation, the Police have managed to arrest the suspect based on information received by the Police regarding a cannabis racket targeting Peradeniya University students. An official of the University said that the university administration has not yet been informed about the arrest of a university driver with cannabis.
