Change to be made in system of providing ration allowances to Tri- Forces personnel

Steps are being taken to change the present system of providing ration allowances to armed forces personnel from next January said State Minister of Defence Premitha Bandara Tennakone,speaking at a press conference held at the State Ministry, today (aug 29).

Accordingly, the ration allowance of the Tri- Force personnel will be added to their monthly salary from next January. This move will enhance their financial status and also increase financial transparency and accountability, opined the State Minister.
