The Colombo Times distributed lunch packets, Exercise Books and Stationery among inmates of an orphanage in Colombo, to mark the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday on September 28. Founder of Colombo Times and Chief Editor Mohammed Rasooldeen said Colombo Times distributed 200 packs of dry rations last year to low income families and are helping all communities irrespective of race, adding that Colombo Times intends to do more projects in future.
Mr Rasooldeen thanked the sponsors of this projects, Center for Islamic Studies, Member of the Board of Directors Marshad Barry, Colombo University Visiting Lecturer Mrs. Zainab Barry, Colombo Times Staff and Media Personnel. Member of the Orphanage staff Firdousiya Barzanji and Matron Farida Sheriff were also present.
