Cricketer Matheesha Pathirana Brand Ambassador for ComBank

One of Sri Lanka’s most talented young cricket stars Matheesha Pathirana, has been appointed Brand Ambassador for Commercial Bank.

Matheesha will specifically represent the ComBank Debit Card brand, the biggest debit card base in the country, reflecting the speed and agility of the brand, qualities that he is famous for. At Just 22, the right-arm fast bowler is already a household name in Sri Lanka as well as India. The Bank said the young cricketer embodies excellence, dedication, and resilience qualities that align perfectly with the values of Commercial Bank, Sri Lanka’s most awarded financial institution.

Commercial Bank issues debit cards in the Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay and LankaPay (JCB) brands. All ComBank cards are internationally valid by default and are enabled for both Card-present and Card-not-present transactions, such as e-commerce and online purchases. With acceptance around the world as well as at more than 7,000 outlets in Sri Lanka, a ComBank Shopping Debit Card is considered the easiest and most convenient way to purchase goods and services.

Commercial Bank debit cards are issued for a variety of savings accounts and for current accounts ranging from normal savings accounts, to specialized deposit accounts for a wide variety of segments including youth, women and senior citizens.
