Customs seize four kinds of drugs worth Rs.70 Mn sent by parcel post

Sri Lanka Customs Narcotics Control Division officers found 2,000 ecstasy pills containing methamphetamine, 4kg of kush, 300g of magic mushrooms and chocolate containing drugs worth Rs.70 milion.
These drugs were seized after investigating nine parcels on the suspicion that they contain drugs during the raiding duties carried out in a courier clearance agency located in the Seeduwa area.

These parcels were sent from the Netherlands and America to people living in Colombo, Maharagama and Piliyandala.
Later, the investigation confirmed that these are fake addresses.
The arrest was made by Sri Lanka Customs Narcotics Control Division officers.
These drugs will be handed over to the Sri Lanka Police Anti-Narcotics Division for further investigations.
