Customs seize seven narcotic parcels worth Rs. 60 Mn

Sri Lanka Customs seized parcels containing 310 pills containing methamphetamine called Ecstasy, eight kilos of Kush, eight grams of the ICE drug and 310 grams of mandy worth around Rs.60 million. These narcotics were discovered by Sri Lanka Customs officers  in seven packages that were held for examination because they were suspected of contain narcotic substances. These parcels were sent from France, Canada and United States to addresses in Colombo, Maharagama and Piliyandala. However, investigations have revealed that these were fake addresses.

These stocks of drugs are to be handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
