Death of former SLBC DDG Hilton Perera

Former Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation Deputy Director General Hilton Perera passed away on Wednesday.Perera began his journalistic career from the Lake House after graduating from the Peradeniya University.

Later he joined the then Radio Ceylon in 1963 as an assistant news editor. Hilton Perera held the post of director of Ruhunu, Rajarata and Mahanuwara Services.

He also became the Deputy Director (News) of the SLBC. Remains lie at his residence No.15 Galaha Road, Peradeniya. Funeral will take place today (2) at 3.30 p.m. at the Mahaiyawa General Cemetery, Kandy.
