‘Debt restructuring a must to get out of current economic crisis’
Member of Parliament Dr. Harsha De Silva said that the country cannot move forward without debt restructuring and restructuring debt is a must to get out of the current economic crisis. He was speaking at a press conference held at the Opposition Leader’s office.
He said that it is hoped that the second tranche of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) facility will be received soon.
Dr. De silva said that the SJB is working based on the basic concept of building a manufacturing economy in Sri Lanka and the need to conquer international markets through Sri Lankan products. The MP also said that huge economic reforms should be done to establish competitive economic relations with foreign countries.
