Dehiwala shooting : Police seek public help to locate wanted suspect

The Sri Lanka Police has appealed to the public for assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred at a shop in the Nedimala area, Pepiliyana Road, within the Dehiwala Police Division on May 19, 2025.

According to police, two unidentified individuals arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire with a gun, killing a man. 

The Western Province South Crime Investigation Division is conducting inquiries into the incident and has identified the motorcycle rider involved.

The suspect has been named as Senarathnage Dhananjaya Kaushala Perera, a resident of Dehiwala.
