Deranged woman who hit Police jeep with brick remanded

Padukka Police arrested a woman on Wednesday (6) who came to the Police station and damaged the brand new jeep used by the Padukka Police with a cement brick. The woman is a 34-year-old resident of Padukka Arukwatte.

Police said that this woman has also hit some houses and damaged the properties in the area where she lives with stones and came to the police and hit the police jeep with a stone inside the police station.

Police said that the woman was found to be suffering from a mental disorder and because it was a government property that she damaged, she was arrested immediately and presented to the Homagama Magistrate’s Court where she has been remanded till today (8).
