Dilith to be Sarvajana Balaya MP

The ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ alliance has decided to nominate the leader of the alliance, business tycoon Dilith Jayaweera as their National List candidate for parliament.

The Sarvajana Balaya which polled 178,006 votes with a total percentage of 1.6%, won a solitary seat through the National List.

A party spokesman said this decision was reached unanimously by the alliance’s executive committee. He said the decision will be conveyed to the Election Commission soon.
