Doesn’t matter whether Chandrika or Mahinda, Govt or Opposition for me to develop the country – President
President Ranil Wickremesinghe urged the members of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) to think anew in the changing world and move forward without getting stuck in the old politics.
The President said that he has also given the same advice to the United National Party (UNP) and emphasised that they should work together to overcome the challenge of building a future for the youth.
The President was speaking as the chief guest at a ceremony in Kalutara to mark the completion of 27 years in politics by SLPP National Convener MP Rohitha Abeygunawardane.
Former Presidents Mahinda Rajapaksa and Gotabaya Rajapaksa, SLPP Founder Basil Rajapaksa, SLPP National Organizer MP Namal Rajapaksa and entrepreneur Dhammika Perera participated among others in this ceremony.
