Dompe Rotary Club ensures well-being of future generations

The donation of nutritious food packs and baby care kits to pregnant mothers seeking services at the Diyaparagolla Maternal and Child Clinic centre in the Dompe MOH area was held on Saturday under the auspices of the Dompe Rotary Club.

Professor Chandana Jayaratne, President of Dompe Rotary Club, said that this project was started with the aim of improving the nutritional levels of pregnant mothers and also to provide them with necessary equipment to take care of their babies.

Simultaneously, the clinic centre was repaired and water and electricity facilities were provided with the support of the Rotary Club. The club also undertook the task of paying the electricity bill of the centre on a monthly basis.

Professor Chandana Jayaratne, also gave a lecture to educate the mothers about the proper upbringing of a baby until the child reaches adulthood.

Dompe Rotary Club Secretary Lashin Fernando, Vice President Nimish Yashinta, Vice Secretary Tarindi Ellepola, Dompe Family Health Service Officer W. Ramyalatha among others participated in this event.
