Two drug traffickers, Harak Kata and Kudu Salidu were arrested by the Madagascar Police and repatriated to Sri Lanka on March 15. They are currently detained by the CID.

Officers of the Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Division of the CID, on May 8, found a revolver buried under a tree near the bus stop at Kapalawala Junction, Udugama.

On April 24, the PCD CID arrested one of Salindu’s associates, with two 09 mm firearms allegedly used in the shooting of the ambulance driver at Panadura Ketumathi Hotel.

With a little help from Harak Kata, the CID arrested the gunman involved in the shooting at Mt Lavinia Court.

The CID has found 10 firearms, including T-56 weapons, revolvers and pistols, based on information provided by the two criminals.
