Drunken PC interdicted in China Bay Police

Police authorities took steps to suspend a Police Constable who was on duty under the influence of alcohol. He was caught by the Officer in Charge of the China Bay Police.

This Constable has been working at the Kobbe Police Station attached to the China Bay in Trincomalee.

The Constable was caught when the Acting Officer in Charge of China Bay Police H.A.S. Hettiarachchi went to inspect the Police post last Friday (1) evening.

Police say that this officer, who was behaving violently with other officers, was brought before a Judicial Medical Officer and confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol.
