One of Sri Lanka’s most prestigious Educational Exhibition and the Job Fairs, EDEX Expo 2024 will be held at BMICH on September 6, 7 and 8 and Canadian High Commissioner for Sri Lanka and Maldives Eric Walsh will participate as chief guest. The exhibition will commence from 10 am to 6 pm.
Royal College Union (RCU) Skills Centre EDEX, Chairman Mahinda Galagedera highlighted that foreign educational institutions from countries including Australia, Japan, Canada, Malaysia and Germany will represent the exhibition in addition to local universities.
He said over 30,000 schoolchildren, school leavers, job seekers and university students are expected at this three – day exhibition and job fair and they are waiting to receive their academic, vocational, technical, professional and postgraduate courses from local and foreign educational institutions. This year’s event will feature over 150 education exhibition booths and 25 job fair stalls that are occupied by local and foreign universities and institutions.
Chairman Galagedera further said the objective of holding the exhibition is to create the awareness of Sri Lankan youth about existing educational courses and how to find employment opportunities here and abroad. He further said all educational institutions agreed to arrange discounted course fees, full or partial scholarships and also financial support options for students.
