The Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) is developed in collaboration with the Japan International Agency (JICA) with Cyclomax International Limited. This system has been designed to digitize and streamline document workflows.
The EDMS enhances efficiency, ensures secure document management and supports commitment to modernizing the processes improving productivity and sustainability within the NWSDB.
Concurrently, the entire internal documentation work that was done with the assistance of printed media will be transformed to paperless environment through digital media.
In order to accomplish this mission, the NWSDB, JICA and Ceylomax Pvt., Limited had entered into a tri-party agreement in October 2023 and the exceptionality of the project was to implement the systems within a span of six months and to provide hand-on experience to more than two thousand end users who are being located in the NWSDB premises spreading across many geographies. The scope of the project was to bring the vision confidently into an operational reality. The inauguration ceremony for the internal document digitization process was held on Tuesday, at Water Supply Ministry Battaramulla chaired by Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development Minister Jeevan Thondaman, Ministry Secretary, NWSDB Chairman Nishantha Ranatunga, Chief Representative of JICA Tetsuya Yamada representatives of Cyclomax International were present.
