Esala Perahera concludes successfully

Diyawadana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa Pradeep Nilanga Dela, yesterday informed President Ranil Wickremesinghe that the Annual Esala Maha Perahera at the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa and the Sathara Maha Devala in Kandy was conducted with great splendour, honouring the traditional rituals and concluded successfuly. The Diyawadana Nilame and the custodian Nilames of the Sathara Maha Devala arrived in procession at the President’s House in Kandy and presented the official letter informing of the successful conclusion of the Esala Maha Perahera to the President.Minister Dr.Bandula Gunawardhana and President’s Secretary Saman Ekanayake look on.
