The new concept of “My gender, my strength’ all-women Table Tennis coaching camp and championship concluded in Colombo and Jaffna successfully said former Table Tennis President and coach Chandana Pereta.Apart from the coaching camp there was a tournament for the youngsters giving encouragement to all.

My strength” initiative, a development project for women/girls, was conducted recently in Colombo and Jaffna by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka (TTASL). The TTASL also conducted a coaching camp recently in Jaffna with the participation of 155 players.

Evon Mayumi Weeraparakrama of Lyceum International School, Kurunegala won the most outstanding player award and received a one-year sponsorship offered by Sports Plus Sports Club, containing equipment packages and clothes. She won under-13, and 15 titles and women’s single events.Mayumi was adjudged best player of the tournament.

Raigam Area Manager Jaffna Mohammed Intikab Muthalib was the Chief Guest and distributed the main awards.
