Excavation of Upper Elahera canal begins
The Excavation of Upper Elahera Canal (UEC) to carry water from the Moragahakanda Reservoir in the Central Province to the North Central and Northern Province commenced on Thursday at the Konduruvawa worksite in Polonnaruwa under the patronage of the Irrigation, Mahaweli Development and Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe. The project is funded by the Asian Development Bank.
