Fake job agent arrested

A woman who had defrauded more than Rs. 2.6 million from a Korean job aspirant and gone into hiding was arrested by the Negombo Special Crime Investigation Department officers on Monday (13).

The Police Media Spokesperson’s Office stated that the suspect is a 57-year-old resident of Nugawela.

The Police Media Spokesperson’s Office further stated that this woman had defrauded an amount of Rs. 2,643,000 and the officers of the Negombo Special Criminal Investigation Division are conducting further investigations in this regard.
