Famil clinches Master Champion Title

In an impressive display of strength, M Famil from the Matale District emerged as the Master Champion at the Muscle Edge Protein-sponsored Masters Bodybuilding Championship. The event took place at the Nada Aesthetic Institute in Colombo on December 15.

Adding to the triumphs, GI Fernando of the Sri Lanka Air Force claimed the coveted Golden Sword, securing the title of Mister Hercules. Anjana Malith, representing the Get Fit Sports Club, earned the title of Junior Champion.

Under the visionary concept of Vice President Ms. Susan Ekanayake, the organizers introduced the inaugural Master Women Competition. Dilmini Ekanayake of the Power Fighters Sports Club seized the Master Women Title, while Tamara Fernando, also from the same club, secured the runner-up position.

The success of the tournament was attributed to the dedicated efforts of the Masters Bodybuilding Association leadership, including President Tilak Jayaweera, Secretary Gamini Silva, Treasurer Duminda Silva, and Vice President Ms. Susan Ekanayake. Their organization and guidance contributed significantly to the event’s success.
