Financial scam via the phone; public warned

The police have issued a notice and warned the public regarding a new type of financial scam.

It is urging people to transfer money through ‘eZ Cash’ for the repair of vehicles involved in accidents, specifically targeting Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) depots in various areas.

Therefore, the Police urged the public to be vigilant of such financial scams.
