Five U-20 League Rugby matches postponed

Five matches of the Inter-Schools Under-20 ‘A’ Division League Rugby Tournament, which were scheduled for today and tomorrow have been postponed due to the prevailing situation of the country.

St. Peter’s College were set to meet Science College at the Air Force Grounds in Ratmalana while the unbeaten St. Joseph’s College were up against St. Anthony’s College at Havelock Park. In addition, two other matches were scheduled for today in Kandy with the former champions Isipathana College set to meet Vidyartha College at the Bogambara Stadium and Wesley College were up against Dharmaraja College at Nittawela Stadium.

Meanwhile, Sunday’s league encounter was set to be played between S. Thomas’ College and Kingswood College at the Nittawela Stadium.

The Executive Committee of the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association decided to postpone this week’s matches until the sixth week of the League Tournament calendar in August.

However, yesterday’s tournament fixture between Royal College and Trinity College went ahead as scheduled at the Royal Sports Complex in Reid Avenue.
