Former MP Sajin Vass Gunawardena arrested

Former MP Sajin Vass Gunawardena has been arrested by Sri Lanka’s Bribery Commission over allegations of accumulating illegal assets worth Rs. 243.8 million.

He was arrested after arriving at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) this morning (09) to provide a statement in connection with an ongoing investigation into the alleged illicit assets.
