Fuel hike hits consumers : Bread prices increased

The price of a 450g loaf of bread will be increased by Rs. 10 with effect from midnight today, the Bakery Owners’ Association announced.

Accordingly, the new price of a 450g loaf of bread will be Rs. 130.

The association also stated that the prices of other bakery products will similarly be increased by Rs. 10.

The decision follows the recent fuel price hike, which bakery owners say has led to a rise in production and distribution costs.
