Fuel pumper arrested for closing when customers looked on

A worker at a fuel station in Piliyandala who tried to close the fuel station and leave when there were customers to buy fuel has been arrested  by the Piliyandala Police. He was arrested after complaint to the police. Police said the fuel station worker who was arrested while he was about to leave on his motor cycle was under the influence of alcohol.

According to complaints received from the customers that the Co-operative Fuel Filling Station in Piliyandala, which is designated as a fuel filling station which should be kept open at night is not serving customers, the police said that the minor complaints department is conducting a separate investigation in that regard. The arrested suspect has been released on police bail and will be presented to court on April 26.
