Garage owner arrested with improvised firearm

A garage owner who was in possession of a small firearm designed to look like an ink pen and a sword was arrested by the Special Task Force at Pelegaspalana in Kosgoda yesterday. They were found during a raid conducted by the STF personnel at Rathgama camp on a tip off. STF officials said that this firearm has been designed to be used with T56 bullets.

The suspect has told Police that he manufactured this firearm using the lathe machine at the garage and that it was tested with a T56 bullet.
